Internal Grammars of the Dimensions

A secondary technical hypothesis is that many dimensions also possess an internal i-fold grammar:

These grammars are not assumed because of the number. They are admitted only if they pass five tests:

Entry: D1–D3 — Local Presence, Extension, and Spatial Relation

D1–D3 form the spatial foundation of the proto-physical stack. They are grouped together because they are the basic conditions for any localized, extended, spatially organized reality.

D1 — Local Presence

Definition

D1 is the dimension of localized persistence: the minimal condition that something is present here rather than not present.

D1 is the first stabilization of being into a local “this-here.”

Definition

D2 is the dimension of extension: the condition that local presence can spread, continue, or occupy magnitude.

Without continuity, there is no extended magnitude. Without boundary, extension dissolves into indefinite spread.

Definition

D3 is the dimension of relational spatiality: the domain in which extended things can stand in configuration.

Entry: The Proto-Physical Tetrad — D1–D4

Definition

The proto-physical tetrad consists of D1–D4:

D1-4 = proto-physical measurability

The proto-physical tetrad is not yet the manifest lawful universe. It is the lower-dimensional substrate of measurable presence, extension, spatial configuration, and temporal process.

D4 — Temporal-Causal Propagation

Definition

D4 is the domain of sequence, duration, transition, and causal ordering.

D4 turns spatial configuration into process.

Why the proto-physical tetrad is not yet the manifest universe

D1–D4 give reality measurable structure, but they do not yet explain why physical behavior is lawful, repeatable, encoded, conserved, quantized, or technologically exploitable.

A world with only D1–D4 would contain local presence, extension, relation, and change, but not yet stable law.

That is why D5 is necessary.

Entry: D5 — Lawful Encoding and the Manifest Universe

Definition

D5 is the lawful encoding/stabilization layer. It is the first dimension in which proto-physical possibility becomes executable physical regularity.

D5 is not the manifest universe itself. Rather, it is the encoding interface that makes a manifest lawful universe possible.

D5 = lawful encoding/stabilization domain

More formally:

where $S_5$ selects admissible physical structures from the wider space of possible proto-physical variation.

D5 is not the manifest universe

The manifest physical universe is the stabilized expression of D1–D5 together. D1–D4 provide the proto-physical base. D5 provides lawful encoding.

The manifest universe arises when localized presence, extension, spatial relation, and temporal process are lawfully encoded:

So D5 is not “matter” or “the universe.” It is the lawful admissibility layer that allows matter and physical process to behave in stable, repeatable, executable ways.

Why D5 is necessary

The proto-physical tetrad can supply measurable variation, but not lawfulness.

Without D5:

D5 as algorithmically closed

D5 is meaning-silent in itself. It does not need semantic interpretation to operate. Its lawful structures are rule-sufficient within their own regime.

But D5 is also semantically recoverable by D6. That is what makes science possible.

Science and technology

Science and technology clarify D5’s role.

Science

Science is D6 aligning itself with D5.

Science is not purely D5, because laws exist whether anyone understands them. It is not purely D6, because explanation without external lawful constraint is fantasy.

Science is the semantic resonance between intelligibility and lawful structure.

Technology

Technology is D6 understanding handed to D8 will and projected into D1–D4 through D5.

Technology is one of the clearest examples of teleological causation: understanding, motivation, intention, and value reorganize matter through lawful constraints.

D5 is one of the most important distinctions for the website because it prevents the theory from confusing “physical law,” “the manifest universe,” and “meaning.”

Entry: D6 — Intelligibility

Definition

D6 is the domain of intelligibility: the layer at which lawful structure becomes readable, interpretable, representable, and corrigible.

D6 should not be reduced to “information” or “semantics” narrowly. It is the broader manifold of knowability.

Boundary

Entry: D7 — Affective Field

Definition

D7 is the continuous affective field of the manifold: the layer at which teleological coherence becomes felt, modulated, and behaviorally salient.

D7 is not best modeled as a list of basic emotions. It is better modeled as a field of emotional curvature governed by control parameters.

A viable D5 must allow affective states to become physically encodable in embodied systems.

Entry: D8 — Will, Agency, and Selection

Definition

D8 is the domain of volitional selection: the layer at which salience becomes direction, commitment, and action.

Entry: D9 — Normativity and the Good

Definition

D9 is the normative manifold: the dimension in which coherence becomes evaluable.

D9 is not merely “ethics” narrowly understood. It includes value, obligation, legitimacy, justice, worth, sanctity, and existential significance.

D9 is not D6 truth, D7 preference, or D8 choice. It evaluates what is intelligible, felt, and chosen.

Entry: D10 — Identity-Line and Higher Self

Definition

D10 is the dimension of reflexive selfhood: the coherent identity-line of a person across time.

The best analogy is musical: D10 is the melody of the self.

It is not primarily a judge. It is the identity-attractor or higher-self pattern toward which the ego may align.

Definition

D11 is the dimension of collective resonance: the field in which many D10 identity-lines interact.

The best analogy is musical: D11 is the symphony of selves.

It is not merely a collection of individuals. It is a supra-individual field of resonance, counterpoint, symbolic convergence, and collective self-organization.

D11 is not merely D10 scaled up. It is not personal identity. It is the field in which identities resonate, clash, coordinate, and organize collectively.

It is also not D12. D11 is collective resonance; D12 is total manifold integration.

D11 is promising but remains the least locked of the upper dimensions.

Definition

D12 is the dimension of global coherence: the layer in which all lower dimensions are integrated into one coherent world.

D12 is not just “everything.” It is the active integrative field that makes all lower domains mutually compatible.

D12 must not become a vague “everything box.” It only performs integrative work. Local functions remain in their proper lower dimensions.
