A secondary technical hypothesis is that many dimensions also possess an internal i-fold grammar:
These grammars are not assumed because of the number. They are admitted only if they pass five tests:
| Test | Question |
| Coverage | Does the grammar cover the dimension’s core role? |
| Minimality | Can any part be removed without loss? |
| Independence | Are the parts genuinely distinct? |
| Boundary discipline | Does it avoid collapsing into neighboring dimensions? |
| Explanatory gain | Does it explain more with less arbitrariness? |
This is the non-numerological version of the internal-structure project.
Entry: D1–D3 — Local Presence, Extension, and Spatial Relation
D1–D3 form the spatial foundation of the proto-physical stack. They are grouped together because they are the basic conditions for any localized, extended, spatially organized reality.
D1 — Local Presence
Definition
D1 is the dimension of localized persistence: the minimal condition that something is present here rather than not present.
D1 is the first stabilization of being into a local “this-here.”
Internal Structure
| Element | Function |
| local presence | establishes the first admissible locus of being |
D1 does not yet contain extension, geometry, motion, law, or meaning. It simply stabilizes presence.
Status
Near-canonical.
D2 — Extension
Definition
D2 is the dimension of extension: the condition that local presence can spread, continue, or occupy magnitude.
Internal Structure
| Element | Function |
| continuity | allows presence to extend |
| boundary | gives extension determinacy |
Without continuity, there is no extended magnitude. Without boundary, extension dissolves into indefinite spread.
Status
Strong candidate.
D3 — Spatial Relation
Definition
D3 is the dimension of relational spatiality: the domain in which extended things can stand in configuration.
Internal Structure
| Element | Function |
| position | where something is |
| distance | how far things are from one another |
| orientation | how things are directed relative to one another |
D3 turns extension into geometry.
Status
Strong candidate.
Entry: The Proto-Physical Tetrad — D1–D4
Definition
The proto-physical tetrad consists of D1–D4:
| Dimension | Function |
| D1 | localized presence |
| D2 | extension |
| D3 | spatial relation |
| D4 | temporal-causal propagation |
Together, these produce the measurable base of physical reality.
D1-4 = proto-physical measurability
The proto-physical tetrad is not yet the manifest lawful universe. It is the lower-dimensional substrate of measurable presence, extension, spatial configuration, and temporal process.
D4 — Temporal-Causal Propagation
Definition
D4 is the domain of sequence, duration, transition, and causal ordering.
Internal Structure
| Element | Function |
| sequence | before/after ordering |
| duration | persistence through time |
| transition | change from one state to another |
| causal ordering | ordered dependence among events |
D4 turns spatial configuration into process.
Why the proto-physical tetrad is not yet the manifest universe
D1–D4 give reality measurable structure, but they do not yet explain why physical behavior is lawful, repeatable, encoded, conserved, quantized, or technologically exploitable.
A world with only D1–D4 would contain local presence, extension, relation, and change, but not yet stable law.
That is why D5 is necessary.
Entry: D5 — Lawful Encoding and the Manifest Universe
Definition
D5 is the lawful encoding/stabilization layer. It is the first dimension in which proto-physical possibility becomes executable physical regularity.
D5 is not the manifest universe itself. Rather, it is the encoding interface that makes a manifest lawful universe possible.
D5 = lawful encoding/stabilization domain
More formally:
where selects admissible physical structures from the wider space of possible proto-physical variation.
D5 is not the manifest universe
The manifest physical universe is the stabilized expression of D1–D5 together. D1–D4 provide the proto-physical base. D5 provides lawful encoding.
The manifest universe arises when localized presence, extension, spatial relation, and temporal process are lawfully encoded:
So D5 is not “matter” or “the universe.” It is the lawful admissibility layer that allows matter and physical process to behave in stable, repeatable, executable ways.
Why D5 is necessary
The proto-physical tetrad can supply measurable variation, but not lawfulness.
Without D5:
| Missing feature | Why D1–D4 cannot supply it alone |
| repeatability | temporal change alone does not guarantee invariant patterns |
| conservation | spatial-temporal structure does not impose conservation laws by itself |
| quantization | continuity does not explain discrete admissible spectra |
| scientific recoverability | stable encoded differences are required for law to be discovered |
| technological intervention | will cannot act through law unless law is stable and exploitable |
D5 is necessary because measurable process must be stabilized into lawful structure.
Internal Fivefold Grammar of D5
| Element | Function |
| algorithmic closure | D5 is rule-sufficient within its own lawful regime |
| encoding admissibility | selects lawfully representable physical states |
| grammar-field transduction | preserves both discrete structure and continuous modulation |
| scientific legibility | allows D6 intelligences to recover lawful structure |
| technological translatability | allows D6/D8 systems to act through law into D1–D4 |
D5 as algorithmically closed
D5 is meaning-silent in itself. It does not need semantic interpretation to operate. Its lawful structures are rule-sufficient within their own regime.
But D5 is also semantically recoverable by D6. That is what makes science possible.
Science and technology
Science and technology clarify D5’s role.
Science
Science is D6 aligning itself with D5.
Science is not purely D5, because laws exist whether anyone understands them. It is not purely D6, because explanation without external lawful constraint is fantasy.
Science is the semantic resonance between intelligibility and lawful structure.
Technology
Technology is D6 understanding handed to D8 will and projected into D1–D4 through D5.
Technology is one of the clearest examples of teleological causation: understanding, motivation, intention, and value reorganize matter through lawful constraints.
Status
Strong candidate / central architectural layer.
D5 is one of the most important distinctions for the website because it prevents the theory from confusing “physical law,” “the manifest universe,” and “meaning.”
Entry: D6 — Intelligibility
Definition
D6 is the domain of intelligibility: the layer at which lawful structure becomes readable, interpretable, representable, and corrigible.
D6 should not be reduced to “information” or “semantics” narrowly. It is the broader manifold of knowability.
Internal Sixfold Grammar
| Element | Function |
| differentiation | marks this rather than that |
| reference | points beyond itself |
| representation | carries structure in sign, model, or concept |
| interpretation | extracts significance |
| integration | fits parts into a larger whole |
| correction | detects and repairs epistemic mismatch |
Boundary
D6 concerns what makes something understandable. It does not yet determine whether something is morally good, sacred, obligatory, or worthy. Those belong to D9.
Status
Near-canonical.
Entry: D7 — Affective Field
Definition
D7 is the continuous affective field of the manifold: the layer at which teleological coherence becomes felt, modulated, and behaviorally salient.
D7 is not best modeled as a list of basic emotions. It is better modeled as a field of emotional curvature governed by control parameters.
Minimal field representation
The simplest readable form is the valence–arousal plane:
where:
| Symbol | Meaning |
| valence | |
| arousal |
The valence–arousal plane is the lowest readable projection of a deeper emotional curvature field.
Seven-Parameter Control Grammar
| Parameter | Function |
| valence | attraction / aversion |
| arousal | activation / quiescence |
| intensity | affective magnitude |
| polarity | constructive / destructive coherence-flow |
| directionality | where the feeling points |
| phase | temporal rhythm or cycle-position |
| integration | coherent versus fragmented affect |
Boundary
D7 concerns how coherence is felt. It is not yet choice, commitment, obligation, or moral judgment.
D7 and D5
D7 strengthens the claim that D5 must preserve not only discrete law-like structure but also graded field modulation.
A viable D5 must allow affective states to become physically encodable in embodied systems.
Status
Strong candidate.
Entry: D8 — Will, Agency, and Selection
Definition
D8 is the domain of volitional selection: the layer at which salience becomes direction, commitment, and action.
D8 is not merely “choice.” It is the grammar by which possible motivation becomes executable agency.
Eightfold Grammar of Agency
| Element | Function |
| impulse | initiates movement |
| selection | chooses among live options |
| commitment | binds to a path |
| direction | aims toward an end |
| persistence | sustains the trajectory |
| adjustment | revises without collapse |
| inhibition | withholds lower or mistimed action |
| execution | realizes intention concretely |
Formal selection expression
D8 selects the trajectory that best minimizes incoherence or advances teleological alignment.
Boundary
D8 begins when feeling becomes directed pursuit. It is not mere desire, and it is not yet moral evaluation.
Status
Near-canonical.
Entry: D9 — Normativity and the Good
Definition
D9 is the normative manifold: the dimension in which coherence becomes evaluable.
D9 is not merely “ethics” narrowly understood. It includes value, obligation, legitimacy, justice, worth, sanctity, and existential significance.
Ninefold Normative Manifold
| Register | Function |
| good / bad | value polarity |
| right / wrong | action-guidance |
| better / worse | comparative ranking |
| ought / ought not | obligation |
| permissible / impermissible | admissibility boundary |
| just / unjust | relational fairness |
| worthy / unworthy | dignity and esteem |
| sacred / profane | inviolability and ultimacy |
| meaningful / trivial | existential weight |
Alignment formalism
D9 evaluates local intention against global coherence:
Boundary
D9 is not D6 truth, D7 preference, or D8 choice. It evaluates what is intelligible, felt, and chosen.
Status
Strong candidate / high priority.
This is one of the most original parts of the architecture and deserves a dedicated website entry.
Entry: D10 — Identity-Line and Higher Self
Definition
D10 is the dimension of reflexive selfhood: the coherent identity-line of a person across time.
The best analogy is musical: D10 is the melody of the self.
It is not primarily a judge. It is the identity-attractor or higher-self pattern toward which the ego may align.
Tenfold Identity-Line Grammar
| Element | Function |
| continuity | preserves same-selfness through time |
| memory | retains self-history |
| narration | gives temporal contour to identity |
| reflection | enables self-relation |
| ownership | preserves “this is my line” |
| boundary | distinguishes one identity-line from another |
| integration | coordinates inner plurality |
| aspiration | draws the self toward fuller realization |
| vocation | gives teleological direction |
| ideal-form | represents the attractor-pattern of the higher self |
Boundary
D10 is not D9 evaluation. D9 says what is good or worthy. D10 is the self-line that embodies and organizes a life-pattern around an ideal form.
Status
Provisional-strong.
Entry: D11 — Collective Resonance Field
Definition
D11 is the dimension of collective resonance: the field in which many D10 identity-lines interact.
The best analogy is musical: D11 is the symphony of selves.
It is not merely a collection of individuals. It is a supra-individual field of resonance, counterpoint, symbolic convergence, and collective self-organization.
Elevenfold Collective Resonance Field
| Element | Function |
| resonance | shared amplification among selves |
| interference | tension or conflict among identity-lines |
| entrainment | rhythmic or phase alignment |
| counterpoint | lawful difference within shared coherence |
| harmonic embedding | contextual support around each line |
| symbolic convergence | formation of common meaning-forms |
| archetypal patterning | recurring transpersonal motifs |
| collective memory | retention across the ensemble |
| role differentiation | distinct placement in the whole |
| cultural modulation | collective phase/key change over time |
| self-organization | emergent order of the ensemble |
Boundary
D11 is not merely D10 scaled up. It is not personal identity. It is the field in which identities resonate, clash, coordinate, and organize collectively.
It is also not D12. D11 is collective resonance; D12 is total manifold integration.
Status
Provisional.
D11 is promising but remains the least locked of the upper dimensions.
Entry: D12 — Global Coherence
Definition
D12 is the dimension of global coherence: the layer in which all lower dimensions are integrated into one coherent world.
D12 is not just “everything.” It is the active integrative field that makes all lower domains mutually compatible.
Twelvefold Integrative Grammar
| Mode | Integrates |
| ontological coherence | being / local presence |
| spatial coherence | extension |
| geometric coherence | relational configuration |
| temporal coherence | succession and process |
| lawful coherence | executable constraint |
| semantic coherence | intelligibility |
| affective coherence | feeling and salience |
| agential coherence | will and action |
| normative coherence | value-order |
| personal coherence | selfhood |
| collective coherence | shared field |
| reflexive-total coherence | whole-manifold unity |
D12 and D13
D12 is global coherence inside the manifold.
D13, or Abraxas, is not simply another ordinary dimension. It is the closure-limit: the point at which the manifold recognizes itself as one.
D12 integrates.
D13 closes.
Boundary
D12 must not become a vague “everything box.” It only performs integrative work. Local functions remain in their proper lower dimensions.
Status
Near-canonical.
